What are connections?
A connection in a TraceGains site represents a mutual agreement that supplier and customer, or customer and item, are working together in some capacity across the TraceGains system. A connected pair is indicated by a "Connected" status.
Why connect to items and suppliers?
Connections are critical to getting started with Specification Management from TraceGains.
Before you can collaborate directly with your suppliers to create your specifications, you must have your Supplier Management (SM) module fully operational, and you must be connected to the supplier. We also recommend that you are connected to the items involved in the collaboration, though this is optional. Once these setups are completed, you can proceed to make your Primary Specification for the suppliers and item under development.
