How to Configure a Claim

What is claim management?

A centralized location for configuring and managing all product claims.

Why configure claims?

To simplify the process of connecting product claims to items, formulas, citations, and documents.

How to Configure a New Claim

Step 1: Navigate to the Formulas > Product Claims sub-tab.

Step 2: Select New.

Step 3: Add a Name and click Continue

Step 4: Navigate to the Conditions section via the left nav-bar.

Step 5: Choose the condition(s) necessary to validate the claim.

They're separated into two sections:

  • Item Level Conditions
    • Data Sheet: Attribute value(s) found on an Item Data Sheet (Items tab).
    • Item Supplied: Attribute value(s) found on an Item Supplied record (Items Supplied tab).
    • Specification: Attribute value(s) found on a specification (Specifications tab).
  • Formula Level Conditions:
    • Recipe Components: Attribute value(s) associated with the individual parts of a recipe.
    • Recipe Totals: Attribute value(s) associated with a complete recipe.

Step 6 (optional): Connect the claim to any existing formulas, items, citations, or documents using the left-hand navigation menu.
