Recommended Prerequisites
When following along with the steps listed in this article, we recommend that the following is true:
- Your organization has purchased an instance of NutriCalc for calculating Nutrition Data
- You have existing Item Records in Supplier Management for each item you wish to connect
- Your supplier has provided Nutrition data via Nutrition Form(s) and the data is present in your Enterprise site.
- Your role permissions have been updated, giving you access to the Items tab.
Best Practice
We recommend the following path to connect nutrition data between Supplier Management and NutriCalc:
Phase 1: Connect an existing Supplier Management Item with a NutriCalc Ingredient
This phase connects an item record with an Ingredient in NutriCalc. This ensures cohesion between platforms, but the subsequent phases must be followed to ensure the data is the same between platforms and item records.
Phase 2: Import Nutrition Values from the Nutrition Form
This step ensures you have the most recent data from your supplier ready to reference and use in calculations.
Phase 3: Update NutriCalc Values via Supplier Management
This step updates the NutriCalc record for that ingredient/item with the data just confirmed from the Nutrition Form within Supplier Management.
