What are Dynamic Tables?
Dynamic Tables are features within records that allow you to display related information in an organized manner. They serve as subtabs, providing quick access to key details about suppliers or items. For example, you can see which items are linked to a specific supplier or view related requests for an item.
Why Manage Dynamic Tables?
Managing Dynamic Tables effectively help you access important information quickly, improving workflow and decision-making. This is especially valuable for teams overseeing supplier relationships or tracking items, as it eliminates the need to navigate away from the records.
Access and Manage Dynamic Table Templates
Step 1: Confirm and ensure access to Dynamic Table Templates:
- Go to Configuration > Roles, then click the edit gear next to your role.
- In the Dynamic Table Templates section, ensure that the Create, Read, and Update checkboxes are selected.
- Click Save at the top to apply the changes.
Step 2: Navigate to the Suppliers tab. This section displays your supplier records and the items associated with them.
Step 3: Use the User Defined Dashboard (UDD) to navigate supplier records. To access the TraceStation, click the edit gear next to the item. Once you are in the TraceStation, you will see various records related to the supplier on the left-hand side.
Step 4: In the supplier record, find and click Items Supplied. This section lists the items associated with the supplier. If you have CARs and/or CAPA modules, they will be visible in the left-hand pane.
Step 5: Click an item to open its Item Supplied Record in a new tab labeled Items Supplied, where you can view further details.
Step 6: To configure the Dynamic Table, return to the original Suppliers tab and click the Dynamic Table Template button. From there, manage the attributes you want to display and adjust the settings to show the most relevant information for your needs. You can display up to 10 attributes in a Dynamic Table Template.
