COAs can come from different countries, often containing special characters, unique number formats, or different date conventions. While the language setting cannot be changed for key attributes, it can be adjusted for all other attributes on the Data Extraction Result page to improve accuracy.
AI is generally effective at recognizing various languages, but if data extraction issues arise, modifying the language setting can help ensure the correct data is recognized and imported in the proper format.
When to Use Language Settings
Adjusting the language setting helps in cases where:
-
Decimal separators differ → Some regions use a comma instead of a decimal (e.g.,
5,22
instead of5.22
). -
Thousand separators vary → Large numbers may use a period instead of a comma (e.g.,
100.000.000
instead of100,000,000
). -
Date formats differ → Some countries use the DD/MM/YYYY format (e.g.,
19/02/2025
for February 19, 2025).
How to Adjust Language Settings
Step 1: Go to Configuration > Processing. Click the blue edit gear associated with your COA record.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Extraction Attributes section. In the Language column, click the drop down menu next to the relevant attribute.
Step 3: Select the correct language from the available options. The system will automatically apply language-specific formatting rules (e.g., decimal separators, thousand separators, date formats).
Step 4: Click Save Settings to apply the language change.
By correctly adjusting the language setting, you can improve AI’s recognition of numbers, dates, and formats within COAs, ensuring seamless data import.
