Integration Profiles for Specification Management and Supplier Compliance Attributes

Overview

An Integration Profile links Specification Management attributes with Supplier Compliance attributes. This ensures that specification requirements align with supplier Certificate of Analysis (COA) data.

Prerequisites

Integration Profiles are available only if Specification Management is enabled in your system.

Before creating an Integration Profile, confirm that you’re comfortable with the following tasks:

Now that your Integration Profile is set up, the next step is to enter values in the Specification and sync them to the Supplier Compliance (SC) attribute.

This ensures that attribute values align correctly and follow your business rules.

Note: Check the field highlights to see if values match the Specification. Refer to the legend to interpret the field colors.

In this example, you can see the values do not match between the Specification attribute and the Supplier Compliance attribute. Therefore the fields are highlighted yellow.

Step 5: If the values do not match, click the blue arrow button to sink the specification values to the supplier compliance attribute.

Step 6: The specification values for this example are now the business rules for the SC attribute. Therefore the fields are now gray.

This completes the integration.

Click the black arrow if you want to sync and apply the values to all SC attributes.

Step 7: If you want to view or edit the business rules, you can hover over the rule count (e.g., 2) to access the Edit Business Rules link.

Step 8: The system automatically generates default business rules based on the attributes and spec values you configure.

These defaults determine how out-of-spec values are detected and which notification profile applies.

Your custom rules appear alongside these system-generated ones.

The “COA Out of Spec Reject” does not indicate an error. The red field simply means the email profile associated with that notification is inactive.
