Overview
An Integration Profile links Specification Management attributes with Supplier Compliance attributes. This ensures that specification requirements align with supplier Certificate of Analysis (COA) data.
Prerequisites
Integration Profiles are available only if Specification Management is enabled in your system.
Before creating an Integration Profile, confirm that you’re comfortable with the following tasks:
How to Create an Integration Profile
Step 1: Go to Configuration > Attributes.
Step 2: Click Integration Profiles.
Step 3: Click New.
Step 4: Complete the Overview tab:
Name
Description (optional)
Step 5: Add all attributes in the Usage sub-tab.
Click Add Attributes > + Add Existing
Search for your existing attributes, then click Add Selected.
Note: You can only add one attribute at a time. Repeat this step until all desired attributes have been added.
Here's an example that displays 2 existing attributes that have been added:
Step 6: Define Business Rules on the COA sub-tab:
Enter rule values (e.g., Min = 100, Max = 500).
Click Save.
Business Rules are not supported for Measurement attributes.
Step 7: Assign Items on the Items Assigned sub-tab:
Click Add Items to add each item to your integration profile.
Check boxes to assign each item to your attribute(s).
Click Save when finished.
Only 1 attribute for 'Specification' can be mapped per item.
Enter Specification Values and Sync to SC Attribute
Follow these steps to enter attribute values in the Specification and sync them to the Supplier Compliance attribute.
Step 1:
- Click on the Specifications tab.
- In the Item Name field, type your item’s name and press Enter to search or filter.
- Click the Edit icon.
Step 2:
- Under Sections, click Testing to open the integration section.
- Enter the required values. For example: set Coliform thresholds to 100 (lower) and 500 (upper).
- Click Save.
Step 3:
- Click the Items tab.
- Search for your item.
- Then, click the Edit icon to open the item record.
Step 4: In the left hand pane, click Attributes. Then, click the Integration sub-tab.
Note: Check the field highlights to see if values match the Specification. Refer to the legend to interpret the field colors.
Step 5: If the values do not match, click the blue arrow button to sink the specification values to the supplier compliance attribute.
Step 6: The specification values for this example are now the business rules for the SC attribute. Therefore the fields are now gray.
Step 7: If you want to view or edit the business rules, you can hover over the rule count (e.g., 2) to access the Edit Business Rules link.
Step 8: The system automatically generates default business rules based on the attributes and spec values you configure.
