Work with Items in TraceGains AI

Overview

The Item Library provides a centralized place to view items used across your formulas and variants. Keeping relevant items available in the Item Library helps the AI Agent work with the items your organization uses when creating and refining recipes.

Use the Item Library

Select Item Library from the navigation at the top of TraceGains AI.

From the Item Library, you can:

  • Search for items by name.
  • Filter items by source, including Marketplace, Item Data, NutriCalc, User, and AI.
  • See the source and version of each item.
  • See where an item is being used.

Find supplier items

If you need a supplier item that isn't already available in your Item Library, you can ask the AI Agent to find available Marketplace options.

For example:

Sample prompt: Find available peanut butter supplier items that could be used in this formulation.

The Agent returns available supplier items for you to review and compare.

  2. Choose how you want to use the item:

    • Add to recipe — Add the supplier item to the formulation.

    • Replace item — Replace an existing item in the formulation with the supplier item.
