Overview
You can give the AI Agent additional context about your organization's requirements and operational constraints so its guidance better reflects how you work.
Use Policies for requirements you want the Agent to consider repeatedly, or provide specific constraints directly to the Agent as they come up.
Create a Policy
Policies are named sets of organizational requirements and preferences that can shape how TraceGains AI works on your behalf.
For example, a Policy might capture:
- Ingredient restrictions
- Supplier preferences
- Product requirements
- Manufacturing constraints
To create a Policy:
- Select Policies.
- Select + New Policy.
- In the Create a New Policy window, complete the appropriate fields and define the goals or requirements you want the AI Agent to consider.
- Choose whether the Policy should remain private or be available to your Public team.
- Select Save.
Apply a Policy to a formulation
Add the appropriate Policy to the formulation you are working with. The AI Agent can then evaluate the formulation against the requirements defined in that Policy.
Review the AI Agent's response and any information it identifies for additional verification.
Provide operational constraints
You can also tell the AI Agent about constraints that apply to a particular situation without creating a Policy.
For example:
Sample prompt: How would you recommend producing this formulation at commercial scale?
The AI Agent can suggest a production approach and identify equipment and other considerations associated with it.
If a recommendation doesn't fit your operation, provide the relevant constraint.
Sample prompt: We don't have a slab former. How can we adapt the production approach?
The AI Agent can account for the additional context and suggest alternatives to evaluate.
Review recommendations
Use the AI Agent's recommendations to explore potential approaches, but evaluate them against your actual equipment, processes, requirements, and validation procedures before making production decisions.
