What's Included in a Finished Good Specification?
A Finished Good Specification brings together information and functionality associated with the finished product.
Depending on your site's configuration, a Finished Good Specification can include areas for:
- Sections — Manage specification information such as general product information, item information, packaging, processing, nutrition, allergens, and sign offs.
- Components — Manage component information associated with the Finished Good.
- Documents — Access and manage documents associated with the specification.
- Artwork — Access packaging artwork information and requests.
- BOM — Access Bill of Materials information.
- Integration — Access integration-related information when applicable.
The sections and information available may vary based on your Specification Type and site configuration.
Managing Your Finished Good Specification
Use the Version and Status fields at the top of the specification to help manage your Finished Good over time.
- Version identifies the version of the specification you're viewing. When changes are needed after approval, you can create a new version while preserving the previous version.
- Status indicates where the specification is in its lifecycle.
- Keep the specification In Process while information is being developed or reviewed.
- Once complete, the specification can be Approved.
Working with Finished Good Information
The information within a Finished Good Specification is organized into sections based on your site's configuration. Use the available sections to maintain the information that applies to your finished product.
As your product information changes, update the applicable sections of the Finished Good Specification while it is In Process.
