Overview
Formula Management allows you to customize labels after selecting a label format. The available editing options depend on the type of label you are creating.

To access the label editing options, open the label and select Edit.
The label customization process includes six steps:
- Select — Select the nutrients and other label elements to display.
- Display Options — Adjust available display and nutrient presentation options.
- Edit — Edit applicable label text and other editable content.
- Footer — Review and edit available footer options.
- Resize — Adjust the label dimensions.
- Preview — Review the completed label before downloading it.
Select
The Select step allows you to choose the nutrients and other available elements to include on the label.
The options available depend on the selected label format.
Display Options
The Display Options step provides options for controlling how certain nutrition information is presented on the label.
Available options depend on the selected label format and the nutrients included on the label.
Vitamin Names
For applicable labels, you can select Show Full Vitamin Names to display certain vitamins using their full names. For example:
- Vitamin C → Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
- Thiamin → Thiamin (Vitamin B1)
- Riboflavin → Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)
Nutrient Display
For Cholesterol, when the value is between 2 mg and 5 mg, you can select how the value is displayed:
- Original Value
< 5 mg- Less than 5 mg
- Contains < 5 mg
- Contains less than 5 mg
For Total Carbohydrate, Dietary Fiber, Total Sugars, Soluble Fiber, Insoluble Fiber, Sugar Alcohol, and Protein, when the value is between 0.5 g and 1 g, you can select how the value is displayed:
- Original Value
< 1 g- Less than 1 g
- Contains < 1 g
- Contains less than 1 g
The available nutrient display options may vary by label format.
Edit
The Edit step allows you to make applicable changes to label text and other editable label content.
The options available depend on the selected label format.
Footer
The Footer step allows you to review and edit available footer options for the label.
The options available depend on the selected label format and applicable labeling requirements.
Resize
The Resize step allows you to adjust the dimensions of the label.
Use this option when you need to change the label size to accommodate packaging or other design requirements.
Preview
The Preview step allows you to review the completed label before downloading it.
Review the label to confirm that the information and formatting are displayed as expected.
After previewing the label, download the completed label as a PDF using the available download option.
