Overview
TraceGains AI is an AI-powered formulation assistant that helps you work with formulas, ingredients, and formulation data through an AI Agent.
You can use TraceGains AI throughout formulation and product development, from exploring an initial idea to refining a formulation, working at the bench, and considering business and manufacturing requirements.
What can you use TraceGains AI for?
TraceGains AI can support different parts of formulation and product development.

What should you tell the AI Agent?
Start by telling the AI Agent what you're trying to accomplish and providing the information you already have. Depending on your task, useful context might include your product or category, formulation targets, ingredients to include or avoid, or other requirements that are important to the product.
Tip: You don't need a perfect prompt. The AI Agent can help surface additional questions and considerations as you work.
Review and validate AI-generated results
Treat AI-generated recommendations as a starting point for your formulation work rather than a replacement for product development expertise or validation.
Review the information the AI Agent provides and verify the details that matter for your formulation. Depending on the work you're doing, this may include ingredient and supplier information, formulation amounts and units, nutrition or claims information, processing requirements, and results from bench testing.
Use your product requirements, testing, and expertise to determine what to evaluate and how to move the formulation forward.
