Overview
Specification Management includes functionality for managing packaging information alongside your Raw Material and Finished Good specifications.
Packaging functionality includes Packaging Specifications, Assemblies, and Assembly Claims. These capabilities help you maintain information about individual packaging components, organize components into packaging configurations, and manage claims associated with your packaging assemblies.
Packaging Specifications
Packaging Specifications provide a centralized place to maintain information about individual packaging components.
Packaging Specifications use the same general specification framework as Raw Materials and Finished Goods and are accessed from:
Specifications tab → Packaging

Assemblies
Assemblies allow you to organize packaging components that work together as part of a packaging configuration.
Unlike Packaging Specifications, Assemblies are accessed from the Packaging tab:
Packaging → Assemblies

Assembly Claims
Assembly Claims allow you to manage claims associated with your packaging assemblies.
Assembly Claims are also accessed from the Packaging tab:

Packaging Artwork
Specification Management integrates with WebCenter Go to support packaging artwork workflows.
Artwork requests can be initiated from the Artwork area of a Finished Good specification, connecting specification information with the packaging artwork process.
